Consisting of an online platform, and a 5,000sq ft store space in East London, LN-CC are a ridiculously stylish retail concept, initiated by John Skelton (formerly of Oki-ni and Harrods) and Daniel Mitchell, with store design by celebrated set designer Gary Card.

In fact, the London store consists of THREE rooms - a book and record store, a club space for private events, and a working photography studio which is linked together by an indoor forest and a futuristic skeletal tunnel. Not heard anything like it? Thought not.

But don't go thinking their clothing suffers from lack of attention... The retailer deals with only the best of brands, including Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Dries Van Noten and Rick Owens. The outcome?  A street wear influenced selection of some of the best produced and most sought after products in the world.

Now you might be struggling to picture this magnificent concept. So here, as always, The Modern Man has helped you out:

Winters looking very 'fair isle'

Whether it's jumpers, gilets, scarves or gloves, fair isle is the pattern to be seen in this winter. Throw on with some jeans, chinos or cords, and you will have yourself the perfect A/W outfit.

Be careful pairing more than one fair isle knit. The Modern Man recommends sticking to one per outfit. But by all means layer with other clothing, in fact, that's a must!

Good news is, there are hundreds out there for you to choose from. Above you have the Howlin' crewneck sweater by Morrison @ endclothing (left), gloves also by Morrison @ endclothing, and the crewneck sweater @ ASOS (right).

Best of both: Franklin&Marshall + Puma

What do you get when you blend Franklin&Marshall and Puma? No its not a joke. In fact, you get a brillaint collaboration of new Limited Edition sneakers and markets for A/W 11.

The two brands have shared and combined their sports, lifestyle and ethic values, and come up with an exclusive footwear collection, and a re-interpretation of the most representive Puma apparel product, the T7 Track Jacket.

In a variety of colours, this stylish collection is available at Franklin&Marshall.

The duffle coat

Left to right: AllSaints quantum duffle coat £225| Raf Simons duffle coat @ Mr Porter £830| Topman mid grey duffle coat £80.

Originally designed for seafarers to tackle the bitter cold, the duffle coat is now a must have in every 'modern man's' wardrobe.

It is said that the coat's characteristic fastenings - large wooden toggles slotted through rope loops - could quite easily be manipulated with the coldest of hands, and were even used heavily by the Royal Navy during the Second World War.

With this is mind, could you find a better coat to have this winter?

Thought not, see above three great picks to choose from.

Esquire magazine joins my-wardrobe.com in bid to find Britain's Best Dressed Real Man

Most recently, there has been a sort of occurring theme here at The Modern Man. Events. Yet not many come bigger than this.

Yesterday evening, leading men's magazine, Esquire, and luxury retailer, my-wardrobe, hosted an exclusive party to announce Britain's Best Dressed Real Man 2011.

Over 180 guests, including leading fashion designers, style commentators and industry bigwigs mingled at a drinks party held at the May Fair Hotel in London for a celebration of British style.

As expected, guests were given the very best of welcomes. Served with stylish cocktails, champagne and Peroni, it is safe to say they were well looked after.

The lucky winner received a prize worth £25,000, including £20,000 to spend at my-wardrobe.com, a Longines watch, a Niven & Joshua hamper, a night in a lavish suite (courtesy of the May Fair Hotel), and the chance to appear on a special-edition cover of the October issue of Esquire. The runners up didn't do too bad either, as they walked away with a Longines watch and framed picture of their Esquire photoshoot.

Who won the lucky 1st spot? The extremely dapper Dan Wood, a 22-year-old architecture student from Liverpool. In a tightly contended contest runners up were IT consultant, Shaka Maidoh, and 27-year-old bespoke consultant, Aaron Dash, both of whom are London based.

Esquire editor, Alex Bilmes, said it was Dan's "inventiveness and ability to play around with the rules of menswear" that caught the judges attention.

Below are images from the much anticipated evening:
